Ah, now I see what you mean with your "male compatriots" comment. First, you remember who's invading whom, right? Your statement would seem to imply that a country should never fight back, i.e., we should have just given into Hitler's conquest of Europe. Second, I'm sure you know how many more people Putin has conscripted and sent to their deaths, and since he's the one that could end this war without having his country captured by a dictator, I suggest you take this argument to him and his supporters. He is ultimately responsible for EVERY SINGLE Ukrainian death. Third, Ukrainians don't have a death wish, of course, which is why the vast majority of them believe that their country has to fight against Russia's invasion. Russia is a much more corrupt, less democratic, and less free country than Ukraine, and Ukrainians overwhelmingly do not want to be dominated by Russia, which is what Putin is really after. No one wants peace more than Ukrainians, but a ceasefire isn't peace, and Russia is still after control of all Ukraine, among other things.
